The Home was moved a few years
ago from next to the Lee Family Cemetery to it's present location about
a half mile away, on the adjoining property. Rainbow City, AL. My mother,
Hope Lee Carlton told me that her father, Robert J. Lee, was born in the
cornfield next to the house. It was a hot July night, and it was cooler
outside, so GGrandma took a blanket and lay down in the cornfield. GGrandpa
went with her. She awakened in labor and couldn't make it back into the
house, so he was born in the cornfield. |
